Immaculate Heart of Mary School, immersed in the teachings of the Catholic Church, is dedicated to providing excellent spiritual and academic formation in the development of well-rounded individuals centered in Christ.
IHM Junior High science curriculum is guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and teaches students to think and act like scientists.
All scientific instruction incorporates the QPOE2 community of practice developed by the Van Andel Education Institute Science Academy (See below).
We use an experiential approach regularly in which students become familiar with scientific inquiry, the rules of evidence, the methods of formulating questions, and strategies for proposing explanations.
Inquiry, student construction of thinking, and student discussion are key!

I absolutely love living in Michigan! I also like playing soccer, traveling, praying the rosary, and spending time with family and friends.
